Srinagar 01 June【KNZ】:Clashes broke out between youths and forces in Nowhatta area In Central Kashmir’s Srinagar District here today in which a Bureau Chief Kashmir News Zone 【KNZ】was injured
Soon after the Friday prayers, a large number of youths, raised pro-freedom slogans and tried to march towards Nowhatta Chowk, sources said.
As security forces tried to disperse them, they started pelting stones, triggering intense clashes between the two sides, they said.
Police responded with dozens of warning shots and tear smoke shells to break the clashes.
In the clashes, Bureau Chief Kashmir News Zone【KNZ】 Nasir Khan, was injured. He was hit on his abdomen by a stone and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
His condition is stable now. KNZ
