Srinagar, 26 July :-Barely six weeks after the adsassination of prominent journalist, Shuja’at Bukhari, unknown persons struck in the Press Colony, smashing vehicles. The assailants broke the rear windshields of the vehicles .
They got into the vehicles but apparently did not steal anything. Police arrived on the spot in the morning. The SHO Kothi Bagh, Mr Rashid said the flying squad of the police was supposed to be there from 8 in the evening till 8 in the morning. Whether they were around when the assault happened or whether they had left is not immediately clear. The incident has sent shock waves through the media community.
