Kulgam July 30【KNZ】:People of far flung area of Nandimarg Noorabad area of Kulgam District protested and blocked the leading road of damhaal hanji pora , Nandimarg today.
The protesters raised slogans against the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Youjana (PMGSY) which proved harmful for them says a locals Mohd Afzal sheikh ,even after the construction of the road,the condition of the road is very bad,which is causing a tough time for the people to drive on such a pathetic condition of roads.
People are forced to use the same road as there is no alternate route for near by people.
The construction work was started in 2016 which is yet under construction,Mohd Ramzaan a local resident told KNZ he also said that it become too difficult for us to reach hospital even as three pregnant ladies were taken to hospital on bed but authorities are sleeping
They are not paying attention to words our problems because the contractor who have owned the tender have sold out the project to a blue eyed influential contractors who has political approach due to that he is not working properly While as the hoarding on the started road point shows that bhan construction company which is not true on ground
PMGSY department is responsible for that because they have made the process of hand in glow between contractors which has delayed the road construction and low quality of material was used in the road .
When Kashmir News Zone Bureau Chief Mohd Ashraf Contacted Additional District Magistrate Kulgam Khawaja Nazir Ahmad he said that I will look into the matter so that people can’t suffer and I will visit the village so that facts can be brought to public.KNZ
