Ganderbal 25 Sep[KNZ]:A family from Kangan on Tuesday approached police with a claim that one among the five militants killed in bandipora was their kin.
Ghulam Nabi Tedwa, a resident of Hayan Palpora Kangan in Ganderbal district, approached the police, claiming that one among the slain militants was Parvaiz Ahmad Tedwa alias Abu Mayiwa whom they identified through pictures that have gone viral on social media.
Parwaiz had gone missing from his residence since 2003 and reportedly joined the militant ranks.
Soon after the family found the picture, they approached concerned Police Station about the matter.
When Kashmir News Zone-KNZ contacted SSP Ganderbal Mr Khalil Poswal, he said, “A family has approached us and they claim that one of the slain militant is their kin.I have told them to approach SSP Bandipora.”
When Kashmir News Zone-KNZ also contacted SSP Bandipora, he said, “As of now nobody has approached me.If anybody have any claims they can approach us. We will ascertain the facts.”KNZ
