Ganderbal 30 Oct (KNZ):A day long Mega Legal Services-cum-Awareness Camp was organized by District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal in collaboration with District Administration here at Mini-secretriat Ganderbal under the directions of Chief Justice of JK (Patron In Chief JK State Legal Service Authority) justice Geeta Meetal, Executive Chairman JKSLSA Justice Alok Aradhe and Member Secretary JKSLSA Mr Yeshpal Bourney.
On the occasion, Principal District and Sessions Judge Ganderbal (Chairman District Legal Service Authority Ganderbal) Mr. Shujat Ali Khan was the chief guest,Chief Judicial Megistrate Ganderbal Mr Mehraj U Din and Judicial Magistrate (Chairman Tehsil Legal Service Committee Ganderbal) Mr Manzoor Ahmad Lone while Deputy Commissioner Dr piyush Singla and District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Nazir Ahmad Baba, officers of various departments, judiciary and banks besides a large number of people including beneficiaries attended the camp.
Around 28 stalls were installed by various departments including District Child Protection Department, District Legal Services Authority, Social Welfare, Education, Labour, JK Bank, Agriculture,Floriculture,Health, Revenue, Fisheries, ICDS, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, PHE, Handloom, FCS&CA, Rural Development,Food Safety,ITI,NRLM UMEED,PNB Metlife,Jammu and Kashmir Vehicleades,Woman Development Corporation,Handicraft,JK Khadi and Village,Regional Transport Department and JKEDI.
The departments on the occasion delivered their services wherein the Chief Education Officer Ganderbal provided 18 hearing aids, 02 sticks and 01 wheel chairs to disabled persons and also large form books (115) and MSID 5 kit
On the occasion, the District Child Protection Department aware all peoples during event that the child Labour is a crime,and anyone found involved in the such kind of crime shall be punished under child labour act.
Meanwhile Health Department holds free medical-cum-screening camp during event and other facilities Available for the patients.
Motor Vehicle Department issued 1 registration certificates, 1 driving licences and awareness to the people.
Meanwhile, Labour Department distributes Rs 12 lakh and 10 thousand as financial assistance among 582 beneficiaries under educational, marriage and other categories.
Principal District and Sessions Judge Mr. Shujat Ali Khan said that collective efforts and coordinated approach between the Judiciary and the District Administration made the event a success, with the result a good number of people were made aware about various hitherto less publicized schemes and programmes.
He urged the youth to avail benefits from welfare schemes launched by the government for overall development.
DDC highlights the significance of the camp and said that such events enable different departments to deliver their services in smooth and efficient manner.(KNZ)
