Srinagar 30 Nov (KNZ): As the semester exams have concluded and students are joining new semesters total unavialability of heating arrangement in college have left them with no choice than to skip their classes.While students from different departments have claimed that no heating system has been provided to them from the time winters have set in.
Nakshab Kirmani, 4th semester student at Womens College MA Road talked with Kashmir News Zone-KNZ Correspondent she said that despite of high fees and extra charges given by students college authorities have left us to suffer.
“We have no heating system in our classes don’t we pay extra charges for heating in college”.
Students have also claimed that Womens College Srinagar only staff members have got some heating arrangments and students are left to suffer despite providing extra fee for heating arrangements in college.
Naveed Najar a student of 2nd semester Womens College MA road told Kashmir News Zone-KNZ Correspondent he said,”we don’t have any heating arrangements here we are suffering in this cold temperature we have left with no choice than to bunk our classes and stay home.We are not able to concentrate on our studies.Our hands become numb many times and we dont have a single option to warm ourselves”.
Every student at Womens College MA road has a tale of suffering to talk about despite being listed in top colleges of valley the college is lacking basic facilities and have left students to suffer.
Mashkoora Khan 4th semester student told Kashmir News Zone-KNZ Correspondent that, they conducted our semester 3rd examination in extreme bad weather and that time they promised to arrange heating system in our classes but till the date we have not seen any one coming in our classes and talking about it they have left us to suffer despite providing high amount of fee.
Meanwhile when Kashmir News Zone-KNZ Correspondent Contacted Shaheen Altaf Principle of Womens College MA road about the concerns of students she accepted that some departments are laking heating facilities but college authorities are working on it.
“We have provided heating system to some departments and we are working on this issue, heating system will be provided to rest of departments as well”.KNZ
