At least ten people were injured as government forces fired shot gun metal pellets on protesters after clashes broke near a gunfight site in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday.
Reports said a dozen persons were injured during the clashes with ten among them hit by pellets in their various body parts.
All the injured were shifted to district hospital Kulgam for treatment, reports said.
Earlier today, clashes erupted out soon after the gunfight broke out between militants and forces broke in Kellam village of the district.
The exchange of fire and the clashes were on when this report was being filed.
Reports said that four militants were killed in the ongoing gunfight. But there was no official confirmation.
