A complete shutdown is being observed for the second consecutive day on Wednesday in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district against the killing of two militants in a gunfight with the government forces yesterday.
All the shops and business establishments remained closed in the area while public transport was off the roads.
Two Hizbul Mujahideen militants, Irfan Ahmad Rather alias Abu Talib from Sharifabad locality and Adfar Fayaz alias Abu Zarar of Gulshapora village of Tral, were killed in the gunfight.
People from different areas continued to visit the houses of the slain militants and offered prayers for them.
A two-storey residential house was completely destroyed during the gunfight while a civilian was also injured.
