Tral: A complete shutdown is being observed for the second consecutive day on Tuesday in south Kashmir’s Tral sub district over the killing of two Jaish-e-Muhammad militants including a top commander of the outfit.
All shops, schools and business establishments are closed and traffic is also off the roads in Tral town and adjoining areas.
However, local reports said that, people from various areas of Tral and Awantipora continued to visit the residence of the local slain militant commander Mudasir Ahmad Khan of Midoora Tral to offer condolences to the bereaved family.
Mudasir Ahmad Khan, son of Farooq Ahmad Khan, was killed along with his aide, who was identified as foreigner, during an encounter with government forces at New colony in Pinglish Tral on Sunday night.
Sources said he had joined the outfit one year back.
According to the locals, Mudasir was considered as the top cricketer in the area.
Amid pro-freedom slogans, he was laid to rest in ancestral graveyard at Midoora Tral.“`
