Bandipora, April 03: Director General Of Police Jammu & Kashmir Sh Dilbag Singh -IPS accompanied by ADGP-Armed J&K ,IGP -Kashmir and DIG-NKR reviewed election preparedness for the upcoming General Elections.
The meeting was attended by SSP Bandipora Sh Rahul Malik -IPS ,CO IRP 8th Bn and other senior officers of District Police Bandipora and Armed Police.
SSP Bandipora , gave a detailed briefing about the security measures taken by District Police Bandipora in order to ensure free & fair elections.
DGP J&K in his address to the officers and jawans emphasised upon them to get fully prepared for the forthcoming General Elections in the state.He stressed that forces on the ground should ensure that law & order is maintained during the elections ,so that people could exercise their franchise with out any fear.
ADGP- Armed J&K SJM Gilani -IPS during his address asked the Jawans to adopt citizen friendly policing, exercise maximum restraint ,remain impartial & ensure rule of law, despite the challenging circumstances around.He also impressed upon them to remain extra vigilant & take all safety measures for their protection in the field.
IGP-Kashmir Sh SP Pani-IPS expressed his satisfaction on the preparedness of Jawans. He assured DGP and ADGP regarding law and order preparedness displayed by the Jawans.He also emphasised Jawans to keep co-ordination, contact, communication and act under single command effectively.
The interaction ended with vote of thanks by DIG -NKR Sh Suleiman Chaudhary -IPS.Who thanked DGP and other Officers for their visit.
