Bandipora, April 28 : A youth suffered grave injuries after being thrashed by police party Aragam led by SHO during raid in Gundpora village of Bandipora district of North Kashmir.
The youth has been identified as Asif Ahmad son of Wali Mohammad Lone a Resident of Gundpora Bandipora.
Eye witnesses told KNO that Asif has received injuries after being thrashed by police and was shifted to District Hospital Bandipora for treatment.
Father of injured youth Wali Mohammed Lone told KNO that “A police party came to my home and forcibly tried to snatch Broad brand which Rural Development department had kept in my home”, adding that “when we refused to hand over broadbrand because the concerned department had not paid the rent of the room, which we have given to rural Development department on rent since 2011.”
He also said that police later mercilessly thrashed them in which his son namely Asif Ahmad Lone received serious injuries.
Meanwhile, father of Injured youth requested higher authorities to look into the atter.
SSP bandipora Rahul Malik, said “we have inputs from sources that Broadband in the said area was misused by some miscreants.”
“When Police party reached there, they attacked Police party without any rhyme and reason later they came back,” he said.(KNO)
