Ganderbal:In its continuous offensive against menace of drug abuse under the able command of SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS, Ganderbal Police continues its war against drugs.
Today under the close supervision of SDPO Kangan Shri Tahir Amin-JKPS, Police party of Police Station Sonamarg headed by SHO Sonamarg INSP. Nazir Ahmad intercepted two suspects namely Abdul Haleem Sheikh S/O: Abdul Qadir R/O: Bangal Murshad abad at present Dehli, Pervaiz Ahmad Chopan S/O: Abdul Janar R/O: Check Prang Kangan.
During checking Contraband, 700 gms charas was recovered from their possession. The contraband was seized on spot and both accused were arrested.
In this connection Case FIR No.02/19 U/S 8/20 NDPS stands registered and investigation taken up.
This effort is hugely hailed by the general masses. Ganderbal Police has appealed the common citizens to share all information related to drug abuse,so that timely curative steps can be initiated.
