GANDERBAL, JULY 12: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Hashmat Ali Khan today took an extensive tour of district Ganderbal and inspected several projects under the execution of J&K Projects Construction Corporation Ltd (JKPCC) in the district.
During the visit, DDC was accompanied by ADDC Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal, Deputy General Manager JKPCC, B.A War and other concerned officials of JKPCC.
DDC inspected under construction double storey building PHC Nunnar, several bridges being constructed over the river Sindh such as Akhal Bridge at Kangan, Tangchatri Bridge and Watalbagh Babosipora Bridge at Ganderbal.
While visiting the PHC nunnar, Dy GM JKPCC informed the DDC that the total cost of project is 3.15 crore out of which Rs 80 lakh is released against which about 40 percent work is already done. DDC urged the Dy DM to complete the building within stipulated time frame without compromising the quality besides taking care of extra cost overrun.
While visiting Akhal Bridge, the DDC was informed that the 82 meter long span trussed Bridge is being constructed at cost of Rs 896.92 Lakh. Similarly 82 meter long Tangchatri Bridge is being constructed at the cost of Rs 667.53 lakh besides 90 percent work is physically completed on 280 meter long Watalbagh Babosipora Bridge which is being constructed at the cost of Rs 1562 lakh.
The DDC during the visit while inspecting the pace of work on these important projects directed the concerned executing agency to speed up the pace of work so that the projects are completed within the set timeline.
