Sumbal : As a part of its outreach programme, Sumbal police today organized a police public meeting at Police station Nowgam. The meeting was chaired by SDPO Sumbal Saqib Ghani. SHO Police Station Nowgam was also present in the meeting.
The meeting was attended by the community members of adjacent areas of Nowgam Sonawari including Sarpanches and Panchs. They raised various issues including drug menace, drinking water shortage and other development related issues of the area.
The main aim of the meeting was to facilitate interaction with community members and allow for their participation in community policing besides to provide them an opportunity to voice their concerns freely.
The chairing officer assured the participants that their genuine issues pertaining to police will be redressed on priority. He also sought the cooperation of community members for eradicating social crimes from society.
