GANDERBAL 08 feb:District Police Ganderbal organized Police Community Partnership Group at Police Station Safapora.
The meeting was chaired by SSP Ganderbal Shri. Khalil Ahmed Poswal-JKPS along with DySP PC Shri Mohammad Shafi-JKPS, the meeting was convened by SHO Police Station Safapora SI Sajad Khanday to strengthen Police-Public relations.
The meeting was attended by the respectables of different mohallas under the jurisdictions of P/S Safapora in which president of traders federation, transporters president, panchs, sarpanchs, social workers and youth of area also participated.
The aim of the meeting was to strengthen the Police Public relationship and also to aware the participants about evil activities i.e, Drug abuse, wrong parking, eve teasing etc. Ganderbal Police advised participants to remain alert in this regard and also seeks help of the participants to share information of those miscreants whose activities are heinous in the society so that Police will squeeze these persons.
During the meeting various issues were raised by the participants like establishment of Playground, transport yard, Degree College, Development of road from Baroosa-Safapora and participants also complained that there are certain departments which are functioning under the Administration of District Administration Bandipora which causes problem among people of the area and they demanded that these departments should function under the Administration of District Administrations Ganderbal.
SSP Ganderbal assured people that these issues pertaining to other Administrations will be taken up and the grievances pertaining to Police will be redressed as early as possible. In the meeting SSP Ganderbal said that, ”District Police Ganderbal will establish a youth club at Safapora and committed to organize carrier counselling programme for youth. He added that a drive against drug abuse will be more focused so this menace could be eradicated from the society.
The participants lauded the efforts of Police to build a connecting bridge with the people demanded that such interactions should continue in future as well.
