While continuing drive against drug peddlers and consumers, District Police Ganderbal has arrested another lady involved in sale of drugs from Bonibagh,Kangan.
During investigation of CASE FIR No:06/2020 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act of Police Station Kangan the already arrested accused woman made certain revelations about involvement of her sister in drug trafficking.
Accordingly a team of officers under charge of Inspector Aftab Ahmed SHO Kangan arrested the suspected woman from Bonibagh Kangan and further based upon her disclosure recovered drugs which includes; 800 grams of charas powder, 520 grams of Charas and 14 liters of illicit liquor.
It is worth mentioning that in the instant case 400 grams of Charas and Rs.4,22,750/as proceed of crime already stands recovered.
Both the ladies have been found selling drugs to youth of Kangan area which had direct bearing upon social fabric of the area.
Consistent efforts are being made by District Police Ganderbal to control and eradicate menace of drugs from society for which cooperation of general public is required. Those who share information regarding misuse of drugs shall be appreciated and their identity shall be kept secret. Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
