Continuing with its public outreach programme, Srinagar police held interactive meeting with the community members of Sonawar and Dalgate areas. The meeting was chaired by SDPO Nehru Park alongwith SHO Police Station Ram Manshi Bagh.
The meeting was attended by large number of respectable citizens including members from business community residing in the area. The participants raised various concerns pertaining to the area.
The chairing officer assured the participants that their genuine issues pertaining to police will be redressed on priority. Officers assured them that police is working continuously to curb the offences and also sought their cooperation in eradicating other social crimes from the area. The tourist flow is now going to increase in the coming days, officers stressed up on the participants to cooperate with the Police so as to facilitate the smooth movement of traffic in the area and minimize traffic congestion. These meetings are organized to facilitate interaction with community members and redress their grievances so as to create cordial police-public relationship.
Community members hailed the efforts of police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinion freely. The participants thanked & assured full cooperation to curb the social evils in the area. The participants also hailed the special drives of Police against drug peddlers and action against persons involved in other social crimes.
