March 09: As a part of its public reach out programme, Handwara Police today organized a PCPG meeting at Police post Zachaldara. The meeting was chaired by Shri Tariq Mehmood –JKPS, SDPO Handwara. The meeting was attended by the respectable citizens of Zachaldara besides Sarpanches, Panches, Numberdars, Social workers and youth of area.
The participants raised day to day issues regarding water crisis, shortage of electricity, construction of roads, illegal use and supply of drugs. The aim of the meeting was to strengthen the Police Public relationship and also to aware participants about social evils. The participants were also briefed about the precautionary measures of Coronavirus (COVID-19). At the end of meeting all participants were thanked for sparing their valuable time and were assured that the issues pertaining to Police will be redressed on priority basis and the other issues will be taken up with the concerned departments. Further participants have been exhorted to remain away from drugs and co-operate with police in sharing all information related to social evils so that curative steps can be initiated. Community members hailed the efforts of police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinion freely.
