Ajas(Bandipora):17 March:CNS: People in North Kashmir’s Ajas Tehsil Of Bandipora are suffering for want of adequate healthcare facilities in this century of spaceage, locals today complained after witnessing a scene of ancient times.
Current News Service -CNS today also witnessed a strange kind of activity on part of doctors posted in the Healthcare institution Commonly known as NTPHC Ajas (though very appreciable) as it was Witnessed that the humble doctors were compelled to carry the stretch ridden heart patient on their own shoulders to the nearby road where an “ambulance” of the hospital was waiting for the critical patient to carry her for specialised / Urgent Medical treatment at Sumbal Hospital.
Locals alleged that the densely populated Tehsil Ajas comprising of dozens of villages is craving for a community health center (CHC) which the previous governments failed to establish despite the proposal for setting up of a CHC which was once sanctiond earlier 2012 which could not materialize due to the official apathy.
Desperate People of the area told CNS that they have donated the land for the hospital decades ago and were assured by the erstwhile governments that a CHC shall be construed to cater to the health care needs of the area and it’s adjoining villages and will also act as a Trauma Center for the whole area of Gurez -Bandipora upto Sumbal as it was a prime location on Bandipora-Srinagar highway but their dreams wanished due to neglectful attitude of the concerned Authorities.
They also appealed the authorities at the helm of affairs to provide connectivity to the existing healthcare institution on war-fotting basis as the area is remote and is equidistant from both district and Sub-divisional headquarters.
