GANDERBAL MARCH 22, 2020:On 21 March 2020, An information was received through reliable sources that one person namely Aijaz Ahmad Banai S/O Abdul Majeed Banai R/O Waliwar Lar is possessing a consignment of drugs at his residential house. Ganderbal Police swiftly constituted a team from Police Station Lar, headed by SHO PS Lar Insp Salfi Arshid and raided the house of accused.
During the course of checking 3.5 Kgs of Bung Patri (Hemps plant) recovered from the possession of accused. Police team arrested the accused and bung patri were seized on spot.
In this connection a case F.I.R No. 17/2020 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered in Police Station lar and investigation taken up.
In its commitment towards eradicating the menace of drugs, JKP will spare no person dealing in drugs and will ensure strict legal action possible against drug peddlers.
