GANDERBAL, APRIL 03: District Magistrate Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal along with SSP Ganderbal, Khalil Poswal today inspected several locations of the district including Tulmulla, Barsoo, Lar, Manigam, Wussan and kangan to review the implementation of all relevant advisories pertaining to pandemic COVID-19, besides to take first hand appraisal of availability of essential commodities like food grains, vegetables, LPG etc.
on the occasion the DM took an appraisal of the situation wherein he strictly directed for the implementation of all the requisite advisories especially observing the lockdown and to avoid any gathering to mitigate the risk of infection.
During the visit to these areas the DM directed the concerned officials to ensure advance two-month ration is distributed at the earliest among the beneficiaries and ensure other essential commodities are made available at the door steps of the people.
Meanwhile, DC also inspected the Sub District Hospital, Kangan and took stock of various health care facilities. The DM visited several units of the SDH including OPD and Gynae section and emphasized the authorities to ensure best health services are provided to the people keeping in view prescribed norms and regulations with respect to COVID-19.
While interacting with the patients, he emphasized them to follow the health advisories and maintain social distancing.
The DM exhorted upon all the officials of field functionaries to identify whether any person is suffering due to shortage of essential commodities in the present circumstances so that district administration takes appropriate measures.
