GANDERBAL, APRIL 17: As a proactive measure for ensuring social distancing and for the convenience of the general public and government employees of district Ganderbal in emergent situations for obtaining movement passes, the District Administration today launched E-Pass service.
While launching the E-Pass service, the Deputy Commissioner, Shafqat Iqbal informed that District Administration is making every effort for the convenience of people of the district and the E-pass service is another such effort.
This service will benefit in the hassle free movement of people in emergent situations on account of strict enforcement of lockdown in the district, he added.
The applicants in case of emergencies can apply online by visiting the official website https://ganderbal.nic.in, selecting “quick links” tab followed by district Ganderbal E-pass service link. The applicant will then be redirected to a web site for filling some details for which the pass is required.
Once the request for E-Pass is approved by District Authorities, E-Pass will be sent through email registered by the applicant and an SMS alerts will be sent on the registered mobile number.
Notably, earlier the district administration has also launched a web based online grievance redressal system for the local people of the district to redress their grievances related to the COVID-19 and situations arising due the lockdown which has good response for which the people of the district have appreciated the move.
