Sr.EJAC leaders Rafique Rather and Pir Nissar has strongly reacted to the manhanding, harrasment and abuse of senior doctors by police in Srinager and called it unfortunate and unacceptable.
The leaders in a press statement said that two doctors Dr. Shabir and Dr.Syed Maqbool were on way the SMHS to perform their duties as per the roaster of the hospital, were stoped by police near Hawal and were beaten mercilessly.they did not stop here but were later arrested and FIR registered aganist them.
EJAC leaders said that such type of behaviour is not acceptable in a civilised sciety and police which is often seen as custodian of honour and dignity of its people, if start behaving like this then who else would come to the rescue of respectable of the society and added that Medical fraternity has been on forefront of the war aganist COVID-19. Thus deserve respect from society in general and not hackling, abuse and humilation.
The leaders urged upon police administration Srinager to investigate the incident in a fair way and punish the guilty, so that such ugly incidents do not occur in future which can have adverse affects on the working of Medicos and other employes in general
