May 28: Awantipora Police have arrested 04 gamblers from Khrew area, stake money and playing cards have also been recovered.
A police party from Police Station Khrew raided a gambling site following an input about gambling activities and apprehended four gamblers identified as Shabir Ahmad Sheikh, Mohd Rafiq Bhat,Arshid Ahmad Mir and Mohd Maqbool Najar all residents of Khrew for gambling offences.
Officers have seized playing cards and stake amount of ₹ 18,000/- from the gamblers.
Case FIR No. 26/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Khrew.
Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.
