Ganderbal 30 May (KNZ):BJP District President Ganderbal Mr Gh Hassan Rather extended warm greetings to the people on the eve of Mela Kheer Bhawani being celebrated at central Kashmir’s Ganderbal on today amid the lockdown to clamp the spread of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
He said that for centuries the celebration of the Mela has been an epitome of harmony and brotherhood in the state and there is a need to strengthen the bond of togetherness between various sections of the society.
He requested the people to follow all the safety guidelines and advisories put in view of the Global pandemic of the COVID-19 as well as maintain Social Distancing while celebrating the day.
In felicitation message, BJP District President Ganderbal urged the pandit community to pray for JK’s prosperity and peace. He wished the day to be the harbinger of happiness and tranquillity in Jammu and Kashmir.KNZ
