June 12: Continuing its efforts to help people, Srinagar Police give helping hand to the people of Shalimar by clearing blockade of Sarband Kull for irrigation purposes at many places.
Police Station Harwan recently conducted an interaction meeting with the locals of the area where participants raised the issue of scarcity of irrigation water to their fields.
Accordingly, PS Harwan arranged a meeting with all stakeholders Viz PHE, Irrigation and wildlife departments for early redressal of the grievances faced by the locals by the blockade of Sarband Kull. During the meeting all the stakeholders agreed to help by clearing blockade of Sarband Kull to facilitate irrigation water to the farmers. Accordingly all the above departments along with PS Harwan removed the entire blockade through heavy machinery and supplied irrigation water to the farmers.
General public of the area have appreciated the action of police and have hailed efforts of SHO Harwan and other departments for removing blockade from Sarband kull and supplying irrigation water to farmers.
