Ganderbal 10 Sep (KNZ):A group of sarpanchs from Ganderbal staged silent protest and held a press conference accusing a Sarpanch for misusing the President title of Sarpach Association, Ganderbal.
Sarpanch Showkat Hussain Khan on behalf of the group said that Sarpanch Mammar, who is a BJP leader also, maintains his status as the President of Sarpanch Association, Ganderbal, has put lives of all Sarpanchs in danger.
Showkat said the sensitive statements in media by Raina has created panic among the PRI representatives and his words of saying to wrap him in BJP flag instead of shroud/Kafan (Ultimate white clothing) has hurt the religious sentiments of all.
Showkat and others alleged that Nazir Raina is not any elected President and no such association of Sarpanchs exist in Ganderbal.
Khan further said that Raina is a self styled president and he has got no support for the said title. He said Sarpanchs will form an association in Ganderbal only after getting the proper guidelines and will follow proper election process to do so.KNZ
