GANDERBAL:Deputy Inspector General of Police Shri Amit Kumar-IPS, today visited District Ganderbal and held review meeting with the Police officers of District Ganderbal regarding security , Law & order scenario, SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS gave a detailed presentation about various aspects of Policing including level of preparedness for conducting Punchayat bi-election-2020. Other aspects like status of crime, youth engagement plans, public oriented plans were also discussed.
Subsequently DIG briefed all officers and it was impressed upon all by DIG that more public friendly Policing mode be adopted, hold regular public meetings, timely dispose of public complaints/ verifications and make subordinates more accountable.
Besides, it was directed to conduct coordination meeting with Army and other CAPF meetings. keeping visual upon miscreants and improve traffic management system.
The officers who attended the meeting were Additional SP Ganderbal shri Feroz Yehya-JKPS, DySP HQRs Ganderbal Dr Abdul Majid-JKPS, SDPO Kangan Shri Yasir Qadri-JKPS and DySP PC Manoj Kumar-JKPS, they also briefed DIG regarding various aspects of policing in their respective Sub Divisions.
SSP Ganderbal and other officers presented vote of thanks to DIG CKR on the conclusion of meeting.
