Qazigund, 16, Nov :The vehicular traffic on the 270 Km long NH44 between Jammu and Srinagar has been suspended since wee hours today due to the overnight snowfall around Jawahar Tunnel.
According to the Traffic Police sources, about 4 inches of snow had accumulated on the road thereby causing slipperyness on the road which made the authorities to suspend the movement of vehicles there as a precautionary measure.
No vehicle is being allowed for Srinagar or Jammu beyond Udhampur and Qazigund since last night.
Few vehicles are stranded between Nashri and Banihal.
