Sopore:A Police Community Partnership Group Meeting was held by Sopore Police today to strengthen the Police-Public relations at Naidhal Rafiabad and was chaired by SDPO Rafiabad Shri. Nissar Ahmad-JKPS besides SHO Panzla Insp. Mudasir Shafi.
Large number of respectable, traders, Masjid committee, Sumo association members, Panchs and Sarpanchs of the area participated in the meeting and highlighted various issues in the area like drinking water, electricity, maintenance of roads, drains etc.
Speaking on the occasion, SDPO Rafiabad said that such meetings are conducted to solicit the suggestions and support for better policing and would be conducted in the future as well.
He also thanked the people for participating in the meeting and providing valuable suggestions.
Referring to the grievances highlighted by the participants, he assured that these issues will be taken up with the concerned authorities for immediate redressal and added that police will provide its legal support as and when required for the betterment of the society accordingly.
SDPO Rafiabad also sought the cooperation of people in sharing the information and identifying the drug peddlers & other miscreants so that a peaceful environment can be created in the area to which the participants assured their full support.
The meeting was concluded with appreciations from public side.
