Shopian 01 Sep: Day after JK Government ordered transfer of Executive Officer Shopian Municipal Council, Jahid Azad, People staged a strong protest against
it and demanded revocation of the transfer order at earliest. The residents including Traders Federation, Street Vendors Association, Civil Society, and Social Activists of the district assembled at Gole Market Shopian. They raised slogans against this order and urged LG Administration to revoke this transfer order.
Renowned Social Activist Magray Mansoor, General Secretary Street Vendors Association and Traders Association Shopian said that L.G Administration has
issued an order we welcome the order but presently this order must be revoked as Development is yet to be done cent percent. Pertinent to mention that Jahid Azad, transferre Executive Officer being the Local Officer has started a massive development phase in district and the line is continuing, they added. The same will take time for the new joinee.
Soon after the circulation of transfer order of Jahid Azad, (Ex) Executive Officer Shopian People flooded on Social media and expressed their anguish against the transfer order.
