October 09:As a part of public outreach program, Police in Budgam facilitated public interaction meeting at Police Post Waterhail. The meeting was held while following social distancing norms and other protocols.
The meeting was chaired by Shri Ghulam Mohi-din Malik-JKPS SDPO Khan Sahib accompanied by SHO PS Khan Sahib. On the occasion, respectable citizens from Waterhail and other adjacent areas participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, stress was laid on the adherence to Covid appropriate behaviour and adoption of preventive measures to contain spread of Covid-19. Owing to the impending 3rd wave of Covid-19, the chairing officer requested participants to follow the guidelines/SOPs issued by the Government from time to time and spread awareness among the people regarding containment of Covid-19.
During the meeting, participants also raised various issues pertaining to Police and civil authorities. The chairing officers assured the participants that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal. Besides, officers also assured that Police will provide its legal support as and when required for the betterment of the society.
Later on, SDPO Khan Sahib also chaired a darbar with officers & jawans at Police Post Waterhail and briefed about the prevailing situation in the valley. He also directed officers/jawans to remain cautious and alert to maintain peaceful atmosphere, as the anti-national elements are making efforts to disturb the harmony and communal integrity.
