Pulwama Nov 27 : Continuing its efforts to curb the menace of drugs from the society, yesterday a Police Party were on area patrolling across Babgund area of Pulwama.
During patrolling the Police Party intercepted a Maruti Car bearing Chasis No. 1964411 coming towards Pulwama. During search the said vehicle 15 Bottles of Codeine, 16 Kg of Bang Patri and 100 gms of charas were recovered.
The accused identified as Parvaiz Ahmad Sheikh @mochi S/O Gh Qadir Sheikh R/O Kangan Pulwama driver of the vehicle was arrested and the vehicle also has been seized.
In this regard FIR No. 324/21 U/S 8/20,21 of NDPS Act has been registered and investigation has been taken up.
In another incident on a specific information, a Police Party from Police Station Pulwama acting swiftly and conducted raid at specific location at village Arigam Pulwama. During search 15kg of Bang Patri was recovered from the residential house of Mudasir Ahmad Dar S/o Ab Gani Dar R/o Arigam Pulwama. The accused has been arrested. To this effect case FIR No 325/2021, U/S 8/20 of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Pulwama and investigation has set into motion.
Pulwama Police appeals the public to come forward and extended cooperation in war against drugs.
