SUMBAL: Sumbal Police of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district today said to have solved a burglary case and recovered gold worth lacks. According to Police a complaint was registered in Police Post Ajas by one gold ornamental shopkeeper Mohammad Ashraf Rather regarding burglary by some unknown burglars who had broken the Lock of Glass Frame door and had entered into the his shop and stolen away gold ornaments from the boxes inside the shop.
Consequently upon this Case FIR.No.142/2021 U/S 454,380 IPC was registered in Police Station Sumbal and investigation was set into motion. During the course of investigation some technical and human leads were worked out and a suspicious Vehicle bearing registration No. JK05F/0261 (Alto-800) was traced in CCTV footage of a nearby Shop of place of occurrence and was zeroed and the Driver/Owner of said Vehicle namely Shabir Ahmad Bhat S/O Abdullah Bhat R/O Yakwanpora Singhpora Pattan was apprehended and put on questioning who admitted and revealed that on the day of occurrence he along with other three accuseds namely 01. Gh Mustafa Sofi S/O Mohd Ibrahim 02. Imran Hussain Malla S/O Gh Mohd and Gh Mohd Dar S/O Hussain Dar R’s/O Yakwanpora Singhpora Pattan left from Yakwanpora Singhpora Pattan and reached Ajas Market and broke the glass door and Locker inside the said Jewelry Shop and took away Gold ornaments worth Lacs and left back towards Pattan and sold all the stolen Gold ornaments to one Gold smith proprietor of Golden Gallery namely Waseem Aariq Rather S/O Ab Majeed R/O Chichlora Magam at Kanihama Magam and got rupees three Lacs in return from said Gold smith and distributed money in between all. All the three accused persons have been arrested and on the confession of accuseds stolen Gold ornaments worth about rupees Nine Lacs recovered from the Shop of accused namely Waseem Aariq Rather who has been also arrested in the instant Case. One accused namely Gh Mohd Dar S/O Hussain Dar R/O Yakwanpora Singhpora Pattan is on run and is yet to be arrested. The Vehicle used in this incident has also been seized during the course of investigation.
