Ganderbal 26 Dec (KNZ):Continuing its drive against drug peddlers, Ganderbal Police arrested a drug peddler during Naka checking at Gratbal Nagbal.
The arrested drug peddler has been identified as :Abdul Ahad Mir S/o Ali Mohd Mir R/O Wayil Ganderbal.
During the search (02) Kgs of contraband substances Poppy Straw was recovered from his possession.
It is pertinent to mention here that the said accused tried to flee away from the spot, evading his arrest,but by the timely action of the Police personnel deployed at the Naka resulted in his apprehension tactfully.
In this connection, Case FIR No. 229/2021 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Post Nagbal.
General Public of Ganderbal is requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in the neighborhood areas. The Persons found indulging in drug peddling shall be dealt strictly under law.KNZ
