GANDERBAL : The two days annual Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Mir Syed Shah Sadiq Qalander ( RA ) begins with traditional fervour in Lar and Watlar areas of Ganderbal District .
Hundreds of people from different parts of the district came to celebrate the Urs Mubarak at Zeyarat in Lar
Hazrat Mir Syed Shah Sadiq Qalander ( RA ) , is an 11th century saint , whose anniversary is observed on the 29th day of Zeqad – of the Islamic Hijri Calendar .
During night long prayers religious preachers highlighted the life and contributions of Hazrat Mir Syed Shah Sadiq Qalander ( RA ) they emphasized upon people to work for the welfare of humanity and follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ( PBUH ) .
During the Urs , devotees offer different kinds of donations at the shrine which include livestock , rice and cash .
While as Thousands of people have a glimpse of the holy relics of the revered saint Hazrat Mir Syed Shah Sadiq Qalander ( RA ) at lar and Watlar Shrine .
The devotees , including women and children , paid obeisance and offered special prayers at the shrine which resounded with recitation of verses of Holy Quran
