Appeal DC Ganderbal and BDO Safapora to take action against the people who dump the garbage on road side

Ganderbal 07 July (KNZ):Heaps of garbage were dumped alongside at Baghwan Mohalla road area of Safapora in Ganderbal district
The residents said that in the absence of bins, residents dump the waste on roads as dogs and cattle squatter upon the waste and also consume it.
A local resident said that in the absence of proper waste processing, the strong stench emanating from these big heaps has made nearby residents and commuters life miserable.
Manzoor Ahmad, a local resident said that the concerned authorities have failed to lift the garbage from the road, The garbage heaps are the main breeding grounds for eagles and dogs , which are a threat to the health of residents as heaps of garbage are lying scattered
He also said that the “Dogs are always seen in many areas as they keep searching for food in these dumping spots, posing a threat to locals particularly students,”
Gh Hassan,another local, said that the authorities have turned a blind eye toward this issue.
“The garbage emanates a foul smell and has become a health hazard for the people. It also attracts dogs, cattle and insects,”
Meanwhile the local residents appealed to authorities for effective removal of the garbage and urged authorities to take immediate action against the people who dump the garbage on road sides.KNZ
