Ganderbal 21 Oct (KNZ):The sacrifices of J&K Police in the line of duty was marked with solemnity on the Police Commemoration Day-2022 held at District Police Lines Ganderbal. SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS took the salute and reads out the names of Martyrs who sacrificed themselves for the sake of the Nation and paid a rich tribute to all Police Martyrs of the Country by observing two minutes silence with heavy heart.
The Commemoration Day Parade was held at DPL Ganderbal in which contingents of District Police Ganderbal, JKAP 14th Bn, Special Police Officers, Home Guard and Police band participated. DySP (P) Shri Suheel Ahmad was the Ist Parade Commander and PSI Irfan Ahmad was the 2nd Parade Commander.
Further, SSP Ganderbal stated that the whole country is observing the Police Commemoration Day, we salute the courage, valour and sacrifices of our brave Martyrs who laid their lives for unity and integrity of the Nation, protecting the life and property of the people. He also added J&K Police is organising various cultural and sports events across valley in the memory of our brave Police warriors.
The function was followed by wreath laying ceremony and showering of flowers on the photos of Martyrs by DC Ganderbal Shri Shaymbir-IAS, SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS, DDC Vice Chairman Ganderbal Bilal Ahmad Sheikh, Dy. Commandant CRPF Shri S Shaikh, Addl.SP Shri Feroz Yeyha-JKPS, SDPO Kangan Shri Yasir Qadri-JKPS, DySP DAR Ganderbal Shri Muzaffar Jan-JKPS, DySP HQRs Ganderbal Shri Gh Hassan-JKPS, DySp PC Ganderbal Shri Manoj Kumar-JKPS, DySP (P) Smt. Rukhsana-JKPS, Major Hitish 24RR, Major Randawa 34 Assam Rifles, All SHOs and DOs Ganderbal, Jawans, guests and the members of Martyr’s families.
On this occasion DC Ganderbal, SSP Ganderbal alongwith with Addl.SP Ganderbal distributed gifts among NOK’S of Police Martyrs.
Later SSP Ganderbal had an interactive session and listened patiently the genuine grievances of NOKs of Police Martyrs and assured them that their issues and problems pertaining to Police department will be followed for proper redressal and issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with civil administration for their redressal.
On conclusion of the ceremony DySP DAR Ganderbal Shri Muzaffar Jan-JKPS thanked the families of Martyrs and other dignitaries for remembering the Bravehearts of Police.KNZ
