GANDERBAL, JANUARY 04: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today chaired a grievance redressal camp at Pati Shallabugh for block Shallabugh as a part of weekly Block Diwas Programme.

The grievance redressal camp witnessed huge participation of people from adjoining areas and PRI members who apprised the DC about various issues and demands pertaining to their areas for the welfare of people.

The program was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, CPO, Irfan Ahmad Giri, ACD, CMO, LBM, Dy.CEO and other district and sectoral officers. BDC Chairperson Shallabugh besides Sarpanchs and Panchs were also present on the occasion.

During the proceedings of block Diwas, PRIs and locals raised a number of grievances and general demands related to better roads, augmentation of water and power supply, staff dearth in PHCs, development of play grounds, ATM facility, vegetable mandi, Shifting of Middle School Khan Mohalla, Tehsil Office at Pati Shallabugh and other issues of public importance.

The DC gave a patient hearing to all issues and grievances raised and assured timely redressal of genuine issues.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC urged the concerned officials and PRI members to include all the demands raised in GPDP so that possible demands are taken up while plan formulation.

While replying the demands raised, the DC briefed the locals about the Action Taken Report of grievances raised in earlier Block Diwas of Block Shallabugh and assured the locals that the all genuine demands raised would be resolved on priority.

On the occasion the DC also gave necessary instructions to the Village Level Sanitation Committee regarding garbage collection in Panchayats and urged locals to refrain from throwing garbage on road sides and irrigation canals.

Earlier, various district officers of different departments including DPO ICDS, DHO, ICPS and other officers made participants aware about the various welfare schemes available for the people and made them aware about the benefits and eligibility criteria for such schemes.
