Ganderbal 15 Feb (KNZ):Acting tough against illegal miners in Ganderbal district, Geology and Mining Department through its team of officials, headed by District Mineral Officer Ganderbal Er Zulfikar Mohd Shafi conducted raids in various locations.
The raids were conducted at various spots of Benhama,Manigam, Wayil,Lar, Nagbal and adjoining areas.
The team seized 8 vehicles including 06 Tractors and 02 tipper found involved in illegal carriage of sand,bajri and nallah Boulders.
DMO Ganderbal Er Zulfikar Mohd Shafi told Kashmir News Zone-KNZ,said that Geology and Mining team Ganderbal is regularly conducting the raids against illegal mining.
He has also appealed to those people involved to stop this illegal practice and urged people and stakeholders in requirement of construction material & minor miners to procure the same from legal sources only.
Meanwhile,Geology mining department seized 5 vehicle yesterday during night hours in various locations of Ganderbal.KNZ
