Ganderbal 28 Mar (KNZ):The Volleyball tournament organised by Ganderbal Police under Civic Action Program concluded today at Kangan with a Grand Finale between Chuttergul and Margund, which was won by Chuttergul by 2:1.
The Grand Finale of the tournament was Chaired by *SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS, accompanied by SDPO Kangan Shri Muzaffar Jan-JKPS.
In the final match, SSP Ganderbal appreciated all the teams for taking part in the tournament, especially both the teams were congratulated for playing the Grand finale. Further, he laid stressed upon the young & budding players of the District to allow their minds to explore their own thoughts and imagination through the medium of sports.
It is pertinent to mention here that the tournament was inaugurated on 15-03-2023, in which 16 teams belonging to different areas of the District participated with huge fervour & enthusiasm.
Ganderbal Police organised different sports events, like volleyball tournament, football tournament & other Co-curricular activities in the District for upliftment of sports among the youth. The main aim & motive of organising such events is to develop brotherhood, love, and peace & keeping youth away from the menace of drugs.
Moreover, SDM Kagan Shri Javid Ahmad- JKAS & officers from army and CRPF graced the occasion as Guest of Honour.
At the end of the final match,SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS presented trophies & cash rewards both the winner & runner up teams.
