Rajouri, Oct 13 (KS) ; Authorities at Government Medical College Rajouri have dismissed the reports suggesting that their CBC machine was not functioning
An official at the hospital told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that the CBC machine was temporarily taken out of service for regular maintenance by the concerned engineer, which is a standard procedure to ensure accurate results.
He said during the servicing period, the hospital conducted CBC tests of admitted patients free of cost, utilizing the services of an empanelled laboratory.
The official further stated that the CBC machine is now operational again, with approximately 40 samples currently being processed.
He said the hospital management has requested all members of the public to verify information from reliable sources before sharing it on social media platforms.
He said unverified reports can cause unnecessary panic among patients and their families.
The officer said that authorities have reassured the public regarding the Dengue situation in the area. Only 49 cases of Dengue have been confirmed since January 2023, with no reported deaths.
