Srinagar, October 24 (KS) : To ensure a smooth and successful pilgrimage, Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi, the Chairperson of Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board and Minister of State, personally visited the revered shrine of Peer Dastgir Sahib (RA) in Khanyar area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Tuesday.
As per news agency Kashmir Scroll Waqf Board Chairperson meticulously inspected the arrangements made for the Annual Urs celebrations at the shrine and interacted with representatives from various departments as well as members of the public.
As the shrine prepares for the Annual Urs, which will be celebrated on Friday, a large number of devotees are expected to visit to offer prayers and pay their respects. With this in mind, Dr. Andrabi recently held a meeting with the administration and departmental representatives to discuss and devise a roadmap for ensuring proper arrangements at the shrine.
One key aspect as per news agency Kashmir Scroll addressed during the meeting was the improvement of infrastructure, including the macadamization of the roads leading to the shrine. Dr. Andrabi confirmed that the road work is underway, as per the plans set during the meeting, and expressed satisfaction with the overall facilities in place.
During her visit, Dr. Andrabi also instructed the ground staff deployed at the shrine to ensure that all visiting pilgrims receive necessary facilities and services during the special days of the Urs. (KS)
