Kargil, Nov 02, 2023: Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil, Er Punchok Tashi today visited the head work of additional source of WSS Stongdey at 17000 ft Stongdey Iha to inspect and monitor the work which is under progress.
The EC appreciated the engineer and contractor who have been working at an altitude of 17000 ft high Stongdey lha pass. Er Phurbu Sandup, AEE Hydraulic Division Zanskar has assured that the scheme shall be completed in next working season.
Lambardar, Panch and other members accompanied during the tour. In the afternoon, EC Tashi attended parents, teacher and SMDC of cluster Middle School Skyagam in Stoth area.
The meeting and visit was aimed to take initiative to make the school Council Model School, an initiative of the LAHDC Kargil and recommended by Councilor Karsha Constituency.
SMDC members requested the EC to provide adequate staff and expedite the construction of the newly sanctioned building and Hostel Block.
While addressing the gathering, EC Tashi said that he is committed that the school shall be developed with state-of-the-art modern technologies and infrastructure.
The school building of BMS Padum and Cluster School Skyagam has already been approved for new construction on the recommendation of LAHDC, Kargil.
Stanzin Jigmath Councilor Karsha, Tashi Gurmath ZEPO Zanskar, Engineers of R&B, Panchayat members and SMDC members were also present.
