Baramulla December 29: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested 02 drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
A police party of Police Station Chandoosa headed by SHO PS Chandoosa at a checkpoint established at Kachwa Muqam Chandoosa, intercepted 02 suspicious persons. During search, 60 grams of Charas like contraband substance was recovered from their possession. They were identified as Sakib Rashid son of Abdul Rashid resident of Kanispora & Zeeshan Ali son of Ali Mohammad Malik resident of Delina Baramulla. They have been arrested and shifted to PS Chandoosa where they remained in custody.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Chandoosa & investigations has been initiated.

People are requested to cooperate with police in curbing the menace of drugs from the society. We reassure the community members that police will act tough against the criminals as per law.
