Srinagar, Jan 05 (KS): A Terrorist has been killed in an ongoing encounter in Chotigam area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday.
An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll said that upon receipt of inputs about the presence of terrorists in Chotigam area, the security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area.
The terrorists opened fire on the security forces, leading to an encounter.
In the initial exchange of gunfire, a terrorist has been killed so far while operation is on in the area, he said.
A top police officer has confirmed to Kashmir Scroll about the killing of a terrorist in the ongoing encounter. (KS)
