Srinagar, Feb 21 (KS):- A teenage girl jumped into the river Jhelum in Kakapora area of South Kashmir Pulwama district on Wednesday, however, she was rescued.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir Scroll that a 16 year old girl tried to commit suicide by jumping into river Jhelum in Kakapora area of Pulwama district.
They said that police along with locals rushed to the spot and rescued her.
They further added that said girl was rushed to Primary Health Centre (PHC), Kakapora for treatment where her condition is stated to be stable.
Meanwhile police have taken cognizance of the incident.(KS)
