Srinagar, May 13: Panic gripped for a moment inside police control room after the atmosphere reverberated with a gunshot this afternoon.
Policemen rushed to the spot to ascertain the facts and later came to know that it was an accidental fire.
Sources told KNT that the service rifle of a policeman present in IRP barrack went off accidentally that created panic. The bullet didn’t touch anyone.
The policeman in question is affiliated with 6th Battalion Indian Reserve Police.
When contacted, a police official feigned ignorance about the incident. (KNT)
