GANDERBAL, JULY 24: The Additional District Development Commissioner Ganderbal N.A Baba today distributed financial assistance for construction of Low Cost Houses under blue revolution scheme (BRS) among five beneficiaries.
Out of thirteen short listed beneficiaries, five were selected through draw of lots in presence of the ADDC, committee members constituted for the purpose, and all the short listed beneficiaries.
The beneficiaries were selected on the basis of verification report submitted by the committee.
It was informed that the committee has observed that the beneficiaries deserve for the financial assistance under the scheme as they are living in tin sheds or kaccha houses.
The ADDC assured the beneficiaries who were not selected in draw of lots that they will be given financial assistance in the next fiscal year.
Others present on the occasion were Assistant Director Fisheries, Manzoor Ahmad Samoon, District Agricultural Officer, Ab Rashid, District Panchayat Officer, Kundanbir Kour, District Lead Bank officer, Riyaz Ahmad and other officials of the department.
