Ganderbal 11 Aug (KNZ):After a prolonged wait of more than 12 years,residents of Various village of Gutlibagh finally heaved a sigh of relief as the R&B department started work of 2.52-km Chappergund-Gutlibagh road.
The road remained in news after the villagers appealed LG Adminstration and R&B department to maintain the road
DDC Ganderbal-A,Sarpanch,locals and officials from R&B department kick-started the work of the Chappergund-Gutlibagh road, much to the delight of the villagers who had gathered there in large numbers to see their dream come true.
Local residents said, “After 12 years, we were able to see the work of Chappergund-Gutlibagh road on the long-pending dream of our area.”
They also expressed his gratitude to the government, administration and especially the R&B department for starting work on this road.
Site incharge Hilal Ahmad said that the road was pending since long and after getting approval from the government,we started work on it.
Meanwhile,locals of Chappergund and adjoining areas have thanked the R&B division engineering fraternity especially site Engineer Hilal Ahmad for taking the issue seriously.
